Each piece is carefully curated and handfinished, printed to your size, one order at a time. There's no resizing afterwards. So a little care now means a ring that sits right from the very first wear.

Take a minute with this. It's worth getting right.

Sizes shift between countries. What matters is the measurement underneath them. The two columns to trust are inner circumference and inner diameter. Measure once, and every system below points to the same finger.

Before you measure

A few small things change the number more than you'd think.

  • Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are at their largest then.
  • Warm hands, not cold. Cold fingers read small.
  • Measure the exact finger you'll wear it on. Each one differs and so do your left and right hands.
  • Measure two or three times. Trust the number that keeps coming back.

Two ways to measure at home
Option 1: The paper strip method

You'll need a thin strip of paper (about 6mm wide) or a length of string, a pen, and a ruler marked in millimetres.

  1. Wrap the strip around the base of your finger. Snug, not tight. It should slide over your knuckle without forcing.
  2. Mark the point where it meets itself.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres.

That number is your inner circumference. Find it in the chart below.
Option 2: Measuring a ring you already own

If you have a ring that already fits the right finger well:

  1. Measure the inside, straight across from edge to edge, in centimetres or millimetres.
  2. That measurement is your inner diameter.
  3. Find your measurement in the chart below to read off your US size.

For the truest result, measure a ring worn on the same finger, in a similar width to the one you're choosing.

Sizing systems don't line up perfectly, so treat these as close equivalents. When you can, confirm with a measurement rather than a single conversion. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their warmest and fullest and if you sit between two sizes, the warmer rounder one usually wears more kindly.

Measuring in a Japanese or other Asian size? Those systems are based on inner circumference in millimetres. Match your circumference to the first column above.

A note on fit

Each Rafiké ring is printed to order in wood-filled PLA, then handfinished and cured before it's sent to you. It holds its shape. It won't stretch and it can't be resized the way metal can. The inside is sanded smooth so it passes the knuckle gently and rests quietly once it's on.

The two rings sit differently, so if you're between sizes, let the ring decide:

Muraséla - wants a little room. You turn this one yourself, around the finger and along the edges, so it should move when you reach for it, not sit fixed. Lean to the larger.

Sahéla - sits snug. The spinner turns on its own, on top, so the band beneath needs to stay put. Too much room and the whole ring turns instead of just the spinner. Lean to the snugger.

Questions
Can I resize my ring later?

No. Each ring is printed to your chosen size, so it can't be adjusted afterwards. That's why we ask you to measure carefully before ordering.
My knuckle is wider than the base of my finger. Which do I size for?

Measure both. Choose the size that slides over your knuckle without forcing, but won't spin loosely at the base usually about a half size up.
Does ring size change over time?

Factors like weight gain, weight loss, temperature, and water retention can affect finger size. Pregnant women may observe a temporary change in size as they near the end of pregnancy.
Do different countries have different ring size standards?

Yes, ring sizes can vary based on country standards. Ensure you're using the chart corresponding to your region, and you can use our ring size conversion chart to translate ring sizing if needed.
Does the time of day really matter?

It does. Fingers are smallest first thing in the morning and largest by evening, or in the heat. Measure later in the day for a true fit.
Which finger should I measure?

The one you intend to wear it on. Every finger is a little different, and your dominant hand usually runs slightly larger.

If you're choosing Sahéla (the spinner), your index, middle or thumb work best. They give it the most room to turn. Muraséla (faceted ring) sits well anywhere. Wear it wherever feels right.
